The purpose of the Lake County, Indiana Sexual Assault Response Team is to coordinate a victim centered, collaborative, interdisciplinary response to all victims of sexual assault by providing comprehensive forensic evaluation, continued advocacy and criminal justice services in an ethical and compassionate manner.

2025 Outstanding Service Awards! 

Lake County SART is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Outstanding Service Awards. These awards honor the extraordinary individuals and partners in our community who go above and beyond to support survivors of sexual violence.

This year, we are excited to introduce three distinct categories:

• Guardian of Justice Award – Recognizing a law enforcement professional who demonstrates exceptional dedication to trauma-informed investigations and justice for survivors.

• Alliance Builder Award – Honoring an individual or agency that fosters strong collaboration across systems, ensuring survivors receive coordinated, compassionate care.

• Lightbearer Award – Celebrating an advocate, professional, or community partner whose compassion and commitment bring hope, healing, and empowerment to survivors.

We invite you to join us in uplifting those whose tireless efforts make a profound difference. Recipients shall be announced at the November 20, 2025 SART wrap up meeting.
